If all our dreams came true then what is there left to dream of?
Maybe I’m too literal, but there is an inexhaustible supply of dreams/mythology/lies, whereas there is a finite amount of local reality.
No matter how many dreams (or lies) you “make real,” there will always be more that you can dream about. It is true, though, that as you make more and more fantastic things real, the dreams might become about more mundane things (or previously mundane)–like a mermaid dreaming about getting a dress.
Oh, and “I didn’t know I looked dumb”–best line ever.

Heh, yeah. Way to be literal.
