Fucking awesome with a side of kick ass.

Other sci-fi/action movies are jealous of District 9.

There’s plenty I could say but I don’t want to spoil it.  It’s best to go in knowing as little as possible.  Just go see it.  Go see it now.  You’ll be glad you did.

I wasn’t expecting much from this new sci-fi series because it’s on ABC and really, one of the major American broadcast networks?  Bleh.  But I was pleasantly surprised.  All the marketing for this series made it sound like Grey’s Anatomy in space, i.e. a soap opera but I quite liked it.  It’s just my kind of sci-fi: the kind with a lot of science fact and with an emphasis on characterization. 

I didn’t like all the crying baby, anti-abortion shit but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt ’cause it feels like they’re going somewhere with it.  And I’m intrigued by the Beta mystery thing.

So far so good.  I will watch until it is inevitably cancelled.
